Hebrews 1:3

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

If God made the heavens by His word, why would we think that His word couldn’t sustain the things that He has made? Jesus came to the earth to reveal God and remind us that God is involved in the affairs of His creation. Things have not changed since that time. God is still involved in the day-to-day activities of our world. God is sustaining His creation and revealing who He is through Jesus Christ, the mediator between God and man.  ~ Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor, GraceNYC.org
