Psalm 8:3-4

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

This Psalm reminds us that the story of mankind did not begin with the fall in Genesis 3; it began with the creation in Genesis 1 and 2. Though sin has marred us, we still retain God’s image and likeness. We are crowned with a glory that is not our own, for we were created with the same wonder that grips us when we look up into the heavens.  ~ Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor, GraceNYC.org
