He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Jesus was stretching the imagination of the Jewish listeners. To love your enemies is to acknowledge that God loves them too. This is another way of saying that there is hope for anyone. No matter how evil or unrighteous someone may seem, the sun still shines upon them.
