Isn\u2019t his mother\u2019s name Mary, and aren\u2019t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren\u2019t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?\u201d And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, \u201cA prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On the outside, Jesus seemed like an ordinary person. The Scriptures tell us that He came from a large family, and that became a point of offense to those who knew Joseph and Mary\u2019s household. We can miss what God is doing because we keep looking for the spectacular when God is using the ordinary in extraordinary ways.
