But the centurion wanted to spare Paul\u2019s life and kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to land. The rest were to get there on planks or on other pieces of the ship. In this way everyone reached land safely.<\/strong> <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier in Acts, the apostle Paul knew that he was to preach the gospel to Caesar, so he was on a ship to Rome as a prisoner. But a storm has caused them to go off track. They crash into a reef and it seems that Paul\u2019s life is in danger, yet God uses an unlikely candidate to help. If God can use a Roman centurion to protect Paul, how much more can God use your boss, co-workers, or complete strangers to make sure that you make it on your journey?
